31 days of Halloween day 13 with Helen

Hi everyone
My turn again to bring a project for this momentous month of October.

Before I do - did you know that Rick's DT call is still ongoing? Well it is. All the deets can be found here.
The progressive challenge has another couple of weeks to run as well if you have the time.

Another canvas ........... this time I've gone for something a little cheerier ........... to celebrate El Dia de Muertos - The Day of the Dead. OK the name of the image is a little sinister
but he just fit into my plans nicely sooooooooo
The canvas was painted with gesso then cadmium red hue acrylic paint before masking off and applying copper glitter paste. The metal corners and the cross started life as a shiny silver before the gilding flakes (lancashire rose) were applied after glue. A bit of velvet ribbon with added beads (to mirror the background of the image), a length of chain and some purple and black feathers.
The image was matted onto orange and black card - duel reason - to add a bit more body and to help it stand out more.

Thank you for visiting today and joining in with the fun.
