SNS DT Throwdown challenge tooth and claw

yay we are in again in this month SNS DT Throwdown  challenge,  the theme tooth and claw, has been chosen by the winner of the last challenge:

Quoth the Raven challenge blog, yay well done and big congrats to you.

For this challenge the Airless Chambers team is : Helen, Miranda and me (Monique), we had to do a bit of thinking for this one, but we all came up with something, Rick provided us with the images needed and we were ready to go.

So here our projects starting with  Miranda's Vampire Canvas, which is really awesome.
the background is made with acrylics and modeling paste and some gold rub. The flowers are made using the flat inner tyre of Miranda's bicycle , so they are made of rubber.... and as a finishing touch she added some rubbing gold and blood spatter (paint LOL). And the Vampire (with toothe and claw) is ofcourse a Rick St. Dennis image
see pic below and more details on Miranda's blog

Next is Helen who made an amazing book with mix and matching creatures, who ofcourse all have teeth and claws. This is such a fun project by mixing the upper and lower body parts you can create your own monster.
The book has  5 images al by Rick St. Dennis MFA - that's 25 different combinations of top and bottom. The tops are all spring mounted so that they can wobble.  On the cover and background are Smeared Ink Stamps.

here a few pics, to see the whole faboulous book please check out Helens blog

And the final project is mine, I made a Alice in Wonder Horrorland themed, bloody curiousity cabinet, using two wooden teaboxes. The teaboxes are painted and I have tried to make them look old.  The doorknobs are made out of buttons I glued togehter, and both the insides of the doors have an alice scene in them, all the little boxes inside are filled with Alice themed goodies. All digi's(the cat and the rabbit have the needed teeth and claws) are drawn by Rick St. Dennis MFA, here just two pics the rest is on my bloggie

Hope you enjoyed our projects and of course hoping you will vote for us here
